There are two "Paradise Valleys" in the Phoenix Metroplex:

The first is the secluded Town of Paradise Valley, located just north of Camelback Mountain and west of Central Scottsdale.This is where you will find high end resorts and spas like The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, Marriott's Camelback Inn, and Montelucia (now under construction). Other than these resorts and a handful of shops and restaurants (including the world-famous El Chorro Lodge), the Town of Paradise Valley is exclusively single-family residential (with a population of 14,500).

Greater Paradise Valley, which surrounds the Town of Paradise Valley, is actually part of the City of Phoenix. This area offers many more choices in housing, including townhomes, condos, and a variety of single family homes, and has lots of shopping and restaurants, including the Paradise Valley Mall.
